Ambergris Hope Hospital was founded with a vision to provide the people of Ambergris Caye and its visitors with access to modern, high-quality healthcare right here at home.

Originally established in 2003 as Ambergris Hope Clinic by Dr. Daniel Gonzalez, the facility has grown into the island’s first 24-hour private hospital. For more than two decades, Dr. Gonzalez remained committed to expanding healthcare services to meet the needs of a growing community.

Today, Ambergris Hope Hospital offers comprehensive medical care,  including  24-hour emergency services, advanced diagnostic imaging, laboratory services, pharmacy, surgery, inpatient care, and specialist consultations. By bringing advanced medical services to the island, we help reduce the need for patients to travel abroad or to the mainland for treatment.
